With new guest judge panelists Jerry Seinfeld, Tina Fey and Eva Longoria-Parker the latest show is abuzz with witty, and debates over the latest marriage argument.

Recently a new commercial has just aired for the marriage ref revealing a few of the guest judges and some of the problems tom papa is soon going to have to face. Alec Baldwin seems to be right it’s not a stripper pole but a “exercise pole”. I cant wait to watch the pilot of the marriage ref which will be airing march 4th after the Olympics and every thursday after.

The “Material Girl,” whose last husband is British movie director husband Guy Ritchie in 2008, will be one of a panel of celebrities on “The Marriage Ref”.  Now, this will be interesting.  Maybe as all these celebrities weigh in with their sage advice, we may very well get a morsel or two about what went sour in their own marriages.

NBC needs to do something to juice up the ratings given the debacle with the “Jay Leno Show” and the mishandling of the Conan Obrien dismissal.  But really, isn’t this really a just case of the blind leading the blind?

So while we are on this subject of divorce, consider that the number one reason for divorce is money.  It might make make things easier to have plenty of it, but you probably know well its not the only factor that can lead to marital strife.

Amazingly,  50 to 60% of today’s newlyweds will divorce. Why?  We talked about money pressures, but the other top reasons for divorce include:

Infidelity.

Lack of Communication

Change in priorities.

Lack of commitment

Sexual incompatibility

Those are the biggest culprits. Other reasons that can lead to divorce are:

Addictions

Failed expectations

Physical, emotional or sexual abuse.

You probably know the trouble spots in your own marriage. Now what can you do to make sure that your marriage doesn’t end in divorce.

First of all, continue to work at it. You love this person. You know this person loves you. You assume he/she will always be there.  As time rolls by its easy to take each other for granted and not do the the little things that were special.

You forget to take time for him/her. You quit doing the little things he/she loved. Perhaps you don’t don’t talk out your differences. He/she does something that annoys you.
